yekki’s dad was robbed yesterday; he did not give in but pulled out a 9mm.

i admire his integrity. Honestly, everyone around me keep telling me to give up valuables when i’m robbed. i hv always told them no. now yekki’s dad’s brave example firms up my belief. I would rather die fighting than giving up and begging for life. screw Confucius and his “doctorine of the mean”. I want a deagle.

Wit and emotion

I woke up this morning and thought, well, at least I’m not one of those dull-witted men like Mr. Bush. Then something reminded me of my emotional quotient score and I wasn’t that happy any more.

83. If this number was my IQ, I would be a legal retard in most places. Luckily my IQ is nearly 2 times that number, which makes up for some of the obstacles created by that 83. 83 means I can’t perceive emotions normaly, can’t express emotions normally and tend to expect the impossible out of normal people.

It’s often a hard choice between wit and emotion. We tend to favor romantic, fantastic thoughts instead of dry and lifeless calculations. The thing is though, the calculations are always right. It’s just painful as hell to choose them.

I haven’t made a point so far. Well, there is no point. It’s completely emotional.

new camera

So, on this random day my mom’s friend called and offered to buy me an ipod touch for my graduation. my immediate response was “why waste money on such junk?” So she asked me what I like. Oh well, digital SLR camera, it’s been my dream for years. Quite surprisingly, my mom approved it and my first DSLR was shipped a week later.

Finding the right camera wasn’t exactly easy. After 3 days of reading and a few trips to local camera shops, I finally decided on the Nikon D40.

A week later the camera arrived…without a battery charger. I had to spend $30 to get one. Well, it was money well spent. The pictures are stunning. Very quickly I completely abandoned auto mode and went manual. Then I permanantly banned the flash.

I’m not a good writer. The reason I started this blog is to share my pictures and maybe practice my writing skills.

Now that I’m done with high school, I kind of miss it. The good times, the bad times and the crap times. 4 years only seemed like a blink of eyes. I decided to stop and take pictures when I drove by my alma mater yesterday. A girl on a bench outside school asked me why. I simply said I graduated.

College to me is a mixture of anticipation and uneasiness. Oberlin is a great school. Some say it’s a perfect school for me because all the weirdoes like me go there. I’m not entirely sure. I am only weird because I do not like to put a mask on and hide my likes and dislikes. When I get bored, I leave. The great thing about Oberlin is though the taste of music. Classical music is big there. Mozart (or Beethoven) reincarnates like me will feel at home.

The more English words I put down the hotter it gets in the room. Hmm maybe I should try this. 这样好多了。还是用中文自然。回想这四年高中，苦的日子不算少，但是收获颇丰，也算值了。四年来从不怎么会英语的粪青变成个假洋鬼子，还是很神速的。开这个博客的目的本来是分享自己的摄影作品，发现上传的图片还不到巴掌大，不能浪费资源，直到开始写。话说当年打算出文集，写了五万余字，渐渐没了动力。这就算新的动力吧。
